Back from the Edge
with guest rapper: Yikez (Martin Minner)

I can't tell you I hit the ground
It isn't true that I'm lost and found
But this life is too hard to bear
But for a grace you can't see or hear
(But for a grace you can't see or hear)

Just like a leaf blown by the wind
My heart was tossed by each and every whim
But you were my one true desire
I tried to hold on when you flew me higher!
I'm back from the edge
The edge of time
No more running away
Or losing my mind
I am free
Free to choose my path
'Cause this free-fallin' (free-fallin')
This free-fallin' can't last.

Fourth of July, fireworks loud
We marched in the band
Our feet were proud
They taught me that this land was mine
I stopped the parade when I knew they were lying.

I'm back! Back where I belong (yeah, yeah)
Back where I'm safe and strong, and free (yeah, yeah)
The future's up to me
No more free-fallin', (yeah, yeah, yeah)
free-fallin', (yeah, yeah) free-falling, fall in.
(Yikez)
I think it's time to make my own decisions (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Need to trust my gut and intuition (yeah, yeah)
I break the chains (yeah) I free the pain (yeah)
Tired of living under your conditions (yeah, yeah)
I'm takin' on the shit with my ambitions (yeah, yeah, yeah)
So listen here I'm 'bout to make it clear
I elevate it to a higher tier
I'm free at last to choose my path
And pour my glass, and I'm a answer my call
And I'm doing this for I
Guaranteed there's no more of me free-fallin'!

(NikiD)
Free-fallin', free-fallin', fall in.
Note from NikiD: This song is partially about how I have felt since I became a Baha'i. I didn't stop being flawed, I didn't stop messing up and saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, but I did and still do feel as if I found a new home and a purpose/path.
