Girl on a Wave
For my mom, Jenny-Lind Faith McIntosh-Rodriques, who "taught me to sing / and dance like the wind." At times her love was like a river flowing, at times like a rushing wave! Keep your heads up when listening to this song which features a sample from my favorite dentist, Doc Miller from Greenwood.

Rise and Shine
I've been lucky to have good friends who love me enough to say when they think I'm off track (and to love me anyway when I ignore their advice!) Rise and Shine was inspired by a particular Baha'i friend who is both "wise and funny" and is dedicated to my besties - JB, DR, DT, TJ, SHR, DP, SS - and the friends I'm yet to meet.
Chase the Sun
"Only one way to spell E-V-I-L / So many ways to come out alive!" Inspired by the James Bond franchise, this was a Musicians Institute project with fellow students Eric Davis, Jiajun Zhang & Jordan Havens. The character crooning these lyrics is living proof that it's never too late to pursue your dreams. Bubbles will rise...
Child of the Kingdom
Written at the time of my love affair with the wind (2006/7). This is an ode to knowing who you are and why you're here in this wide, wide world. This links to the full, original lyrics. The demo version on Soundcloud is slightly different.
Let's Make Religion (Alright)
"It started out quite innocent..." This is a playful take on the serious topic of progressive revelation, which is a key belief in the Baha'i Faith. Originally written for a musical, envision a chorus of neighbors of all ages singing this song as they sweep their front porches.
